Understanding this section, you will understand why the idea of LSG was born, and why development of LSG has not been deterred for over forty years (in one form or another). Built pursuant to the principles described on this website, the entire premise of LSG’s importance, and understanding this, will give you “cause to pause” and understand your priorities as a business, or an organization, and perhaps as a person, as well. BECAUSE… despite (or, in spite of), our personal challenges and adversities, nevertheless each of us have prevailed. THIS is the main reason for LSG in the first place… to utilize our God-given talents and experiences to help and guide others. No BS, that’s it in a walnut shell. Yes, we have been told many times that we inject too much “philosophy” in our websites and proposals. Nevertheless, as WE thoughtfully blueprint every entity we consider doing business with, we feel that it is important for those considering doing business with us, to know the underlying reasons of why we do what we do for each initiative.
Respectfully, it is a good idea if anyone is going to get into bed with someone, to know more than just a name and basic performance expectations.
Sometimes, some things just need said… Over-use of certain terminologies because it is trendy and marketable is tiresome and a blatant disservice to the communities which are said to be helped. Of course, not always, and intentions may be just, but certain rhetoric is essentially pseudo-, quasi-, mis- or mal-appropriated and is, albeit unintended, condescending and disrespectful. As only one example, how often do we hear the term “re-vitalization”? How is it possible for this term to be used, when the entity of concern wasn’t “vitalized” in the first place? Cogitate on that for a moment.
Moving forward… LSG defines “Under-Appreciated”, as follows: Entities (person, people, group, community, and so forth…) not provided an opportunity and/or resources to fully utilize their own skills, talents, capabilities, resources to said entity’s maximum potential or to re-develop entity’s own qualities and value for re-purposing and attainment of entity’s maximum potential.
