Apprenticeships, Skill-based Learning & Re-purposing
What do you love to do?
What would you like to do, that when you wake up early every morning, it is without an alarm clock, and you look forward to the day’s accomplishments?
As we have written in our Education section, LSG has a strong belief in creating Apprenticeships for High School all students based upon their interests, skills and talents. Within this section, we address our skill-based initiatives.
Much too often, parents coerce or threaten children toward academia and traditional four-year, higher education because some parents think that this is the only option to achieve success and respect. In too many cases, they are sadly mistaken in this belief. Every child has his or her own unique talents, skills, drives, ambition, likes and dislikes. Of course, a child doesn’t have enough “tools in their toolbox” or life experience to make major decisions. It is our job as parents, educators, coaches and spiritual advisors to help children make educated decisions through our introducing them to as many possibilities and opportunities, as possible.
LSG is positioned to lead or support apprenticeship and skill-based learning programs, from inception to implementation and post-implementation with the same or similar parameters as stated in our Education section and throughout this site.
Next-level learning has many approaches, structures and forms. From High School-based vocational education to Higher Education Schools (trade, junior college, etc…) or entrepreneurial focused, organic and holistic design, LSG looks toward involvement with the creative and innovative, as well as, a traditional focus.
LSG also focuses on creating partnerships and working relationships between/among businesses and organizations with Junior and High Schools, Trade Schools, Junior Colleges, Colleges and Universities.
LSG’s vision also includes the creation, facilitation and implementation of a One-Campus approach and system which combines education with manufacturing companies, or other types of companies, which combine learning and hands-on development. Thus, we seek to provide a sustainable path for students and companies within one specific site location. This approach is not limited, as these combinations can extend into a multitude of professions/trades and companies/corporations/organizations.
Re-purposing Your Life
People may be great at what they do… but, economies change.
EVERY one of us know someone who was, is or will be affected by a “must change” situation due to economic paradigm shift, technological changes, or any plethora of reasons. It is a fact of economies. This can be devastating. Or, is it a blessing because evolving economies means progress and growth? Adapt, adjust, strategize and overcome, is the only option. All established workers/professionals are talented and marketable. When adversity strikes, and need for preparation for a job-shift, profession change, trade re-focus or life-adjustment, the value of their current talents, skills and productive nature DOES NOT DISAPPEAR NOR DIMINISH. Priceless experience, expertise, drive and determination will need to be re-directed and re-focused.
BUT, what is not yet fully developed within nearly every country is the applied willingness and resources to provide the substantive means to “re-purpose” what productive workers/professionals already have within themselves, and/or the capacities to uncover their hidden, under-developed, under-served or under-appreciated capabilities.
Within any program design, functionality and attainability assurances must be established with the necessary institutional methods for career-shift, re-purposing or job/career facilitation. As LSG enumerates throughout this site, these opportunities must be accessible, equitable and ensure that the means established prove to facilitate sustainable and realistic living wages/salaries. When the programs are utilized as designed and directed in this manner, and achievement of high-standards and objectives have been obtained, then, and only then, is the value of the transitioning workers/professionals realized.
Whether it be an economic-shift which affects workers/professionals of every ability, or veterans returning to the private sector after honorably serving their country, LSG is actively seeking, and open to involvement within, any project, program, facilitation, institution or process which provides a positive impact within these worthy and critical challenges.
ENGAGE FORWARD!
