Cross-cultural Management
LSG provides an intimate knowledge, understanding, “real” empathy, gestaltic and holistic, approach for all parameters within global, national and local businesses, organizations, projects and developments, regions and communities.
Truly knowing how to create sustainable economies, one must know and understand (LSG knows and understands) every facet of engagement; all entities, decision-makers, influencers and actors, all effected and affected, all aspects of each internal and external eco-system, what each wants and is willing to commit, and so forth. This sounds intense. Well, back to Churchill, “Out of intense complexities…”.
This is common-sense.
Once a goal, in general, is determined, everything else just details. In every type of multi-function or development, once everybody understands, and agrees that nothing regarding anything, is truly linear, then and only then, you can proceed.
LSG knows and applies the understanding…
Getting to the agreed upon sustainable result is the challenge. A multi-faceted, multi-dimensional, multi-cultural approach is necessary. Linear-thinking, is not an option. Whatever your desired result, you must have equitable representation throughout all levels of the engaged. Feasibility and real sustainability will rely on this. It doesn’t matter if you are speaking about an organization, a community development initiative or fielding a football team; you must utilize “all” of your resources wisely. Complete utilization and maximization of talents, skills, core-competencies, knowledge, experience, wisdom, and so forth; each of the “best of” must be called into action. Anything less is unacceptable from anyone in a position of leadership.
Human nature is a funny thing. Most people do not venture far from their comfort zone.
Here’s a personal, true story that relates to this…
A young American school teacher returned to the United States after a very long sabbatical in Africa and the Far East. Her teacher-colleagues asked her if she was going to write a book about her experiences, because her experiences would make her an expert regarding the people, cultures and institutions with whom, and which, she interacted.
The young school teacher replied simply, with a wry grin, “I couldn’t possibly write this book, for I was there far too long.”
This was in the 1920’s and unfortunately, the question asked to the school teacher is still applicable regarding today’s pseudo-experts. Today’s “experts” sometimes, too often are those who, because they read a book or applicable publication, or perhaps met someone from a place in regard, or stayed in a neighbouring communities’ 5-star hotel and visited the community in regard long enough for a photo opportunity, they are qualified as the authority on a community, culture or people and their respective challenges.
Representatives of LSG know, are from or have been immersed, or will know intimately; the business of the trenches, the cubical, the corner office, sole responsibility for an entire organization, as well as, the people who rely on that organization.
LSG associates have intricate knowledge of constituencies and the “real people” whom make up a community. Knowing all walks of life, nationalities, cultures, institutions, demographics, based upon each initiative, LSG facilitates optimized and sustainability-focused, all-encompassing, results-driven solutions, for each initiative. All engagements are understood in this manner, and collaborative and equitable facilitation plans are secured for each objective, accordingly.
