Cross-sector Optimization
ALL engagements have elements of cross-over functionality, as everything is integrated and interconnected in one manner or another.
Unless you are a skilled artisan or single-function skilled tradesperson, which in today’s world has become all too rare, we are a cross-trained, multi-tasking, multi-competency, and so-forth, productive workforce. Nobody is omnipotent, omnipresent nor hegemonic, but skilled professionals are great in one or many skills, talents and functions. To be the best, organizations surround themselves with the best in each associate’s own core-competencies for the greater benefit to achieve the collective sustainable result required.
It takes a community of skills, experience, expertise, knowledge and wisdom to achieve “real” excellence. In addition, as described and prescribed in this website, to obtain a truly sustainable result, the aforementioned are needed, as well as, a careful integration of geographic, personal and professional cultures, institutions and economies, and so much more…
As one example, which may be applied to most engagements, cogitate regarding building and establishing an entirely new school (not demolition and re-construction), and all the people and sectors which are affected. Unless your company is tasked with one element of this vast and comprehensive initiative, such as paving a parking lot/car park (and even this has the planning, engineering and much more behind it), you must think bi-directionally, macro to micro and vice versa. Without hesitation, sectors and areas of attention with intense involvement (in no specific order, and definitely not a complete list) are: Education-specific; construction; legal; medical; health and wellness; disadvantaged and underappreciated; career and job creation and development; energy; transportation; union and non-union; governmental; sports and recreation; commerce; agriculture; arts/culture/entertainment; social and environmental responsibility; veterans; religious and cultural institutions; equitability, valuation, feasibility and sustainability assessments; and, much more…
The unselfish or non-obtuse know that establishing a new educational institution (choosing curricula are complex enough) is a comprehensive and thoughtful process. To be perfectly clear, unless an entity is only engaged with establishment of schools for financial gain (and that’s fine, as a component, to a certain extent), as long as they accept real “human-face” initiative design; all of these aforementioned areas, and more, must be carefully integrated, and blended, when possible.
A realpolitik approach, or engagements with those whom are motivated solely by monetary gain, or pseudo- or quasi-philanthropy, results in a great community disservice, as these entities ultimately seek to impose change.
To effect real, equitable and positive, sustainable change or impact, imbedded in this approach must be real community and real community leadership engagement.
Cross-sector/Cross-competency engagements should the most exciting and certainly are the most rewarding, because they are the most challenging.
Because collaborative combination is an art, and a bit of science, to bring these cross-sector/cross-competency, multi-cultural initiatives together and to ensure a sustainable result (as should be required), with LSG assets and resources readily available for engagement and collective deployment, it is just a matter of defining the scope and specifications of the engagement, applying LSG assets and resources necessary, and following the APMS optimized to the scale and applicable for the sustainable result required.
LSG Cross-sector Optimization applies to LSG-led and LSG Partner-led initiatives. We will understand your organization with LSG Integrity, Vision² and Stewardship, guaranteed.
Scalable in Scope. APMS, optimized. Engage LSG.
